Theory and Practical training in Andrology
The outline of the programme includes :
- Aseptic Techniques
- Instructions to patients on semen collection.
- Semen Analysis
Sperm count, Motility, Viability, Morphology. Reporting of results
- Sperm washing for IUI
The various methods to get optimum sperm numbers for IUI insemination depending on the original sperm count.
- Direct layering
- Swim up technique
- Density gradient
- Cryopreservation using straws and cryovials
- Sperm freezing for IUI
- Sperm freezing for IVF
- Testicular biops
- Results reporting and recording
- Lab Maintenance
- Final Assessment by Chief Embryologist
Course Duration: 2 weeks (excluding Sundays)
Course Fee: $5000/-
Venue of training: Andrology lab NUH
Applicants for the course will be selected based on their experience and qualification. Applicants should have a Bachelor's Degree in Reproductive Biology, Biological Sciences, Microbiology etc.
All trainees will receive a certificate upon completion of the course.
